Of course start with prepping your nails and applying base coat. Pick your favorite color, apply it, and making sure it's completely dry before you take another step. Then, apply a rubberized base coat and wait until it’s completely dry. Apply chrome powder of your choice using a makeup sponge and dust off any pigment dust that didn’t stick. Use a water-based top coat or a peel-off top or base coat. Any other top coat that contains acetone will react to the chrome pigment, turning it into a glittery finish rather than a smooth chromatic one. And yes, this hack works for small detail work in gold and silver. It’s literally a game-changer if you’re avoiding gel/acrylic products or have developed allergic reactions to them. I still need to put it to the wear test though! 🤭 For prolonged wear, I would apply another layer of top coat.
